Regency Parc Condominium Association contracts waste disposal services from WM (formally known as Waste Management).
In addition to refuse/trash collection for the Commercial Office Building, the following services are provided to all 86 individual units in the community:
Refuse/trash (weekly)
Recycling (bi-weekly/every other week)
Organics (weekly)
Yard-Waste (bi-weekly Apr 15-Nov 28)
Residential services (both weekly or bi-weekly) are scheduled for Fridays, unless preceded by a National Holiday (see WM flyer for Holiday information). Office refuse/trash is picked up on Tuesdays.
Normal pick-up dates are noted on the ‘Calendar’. The link to the WM Annual Schedule Flyer is available here or on the calendar.
Please Note - Section I #5 of our Governing Rules & Regulations states:
"For health reasons, garbage should be placed in leak-proof garbage bags and deposited in designated garbage receptacles. Garbage and recycling carts may not be placed outside before 5:00 p.m. on the date preceding pick-up and must be stored by 12:00 noon on the following Monday".
Regency Parc, in addition to offering Refuse and Recycling pick-up service at individual units, also offers Organics and Yard-Waste within the Community Waste Shed. Schedules are listed above and on the Calendar.
Participating in any recycling or waste disposal programs, be it garbage, plastics, paper, organics, or leaves and garden material - takes a bit of knowledge and planning. Knowing the county rules or organizational tips will make the process easier. The information below provides not only the rules, but a number of useful web links.
Use the shared community bin labeled 'Organics' in the shed, following the posted guide. Note: Food Scraps should be wrapped in a BPI Certified Compostable Bag. See additional info, tips, and guidance sheets further below.
FYI - This bin is for Organics and Certified Compostable material only - it is not a bin for recyclables. There is no recycling bin in the Community Shed.
Use the shared community bin labeled 'Yard Waste' in the shed, following the posted guide. We are allowed up to 5 additional Yard-Waste bags per pickup. Please place the bags standing off the floor on the raised pallets. See additional info, tips, and guidance sheets further below.
